Seminario Derecho Romano "Ursicino Álvarez" Foundation

 


The Seminario de Derecho Romano Ursicino Álvarez Foundation takes its name from who was "Catedrático" of the University Complutense of Madrid since 1941 and for more than 30 years, and was created on the initiative of some members of the Roman Law Department of the University Complutense of Madrid. The Foundation was recognized and classified by "Orden Ministerial" on February 4th, 1992, and was registered on the "Registro de Fundaciones docentes privadas".

The Foundation´s statutes contain its objectives and rule its activities, being its main aim the development of Roman Law Studies. The Foundation´s Trust is in charge of the fulfilment of these objectives.

Among other activities, the Foundation publishes Roman Law books, and also the "Seminarios Complutenses de Derecho Romano", which are coordinated by Dr. Javier Paricio.

Nowadays the Foundation´s "Comisión Delegada" is formed by the following members:
